“The Freedom” was taken in September 2026 near Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania. This Norfolk Southern SD70ACe locomotive was custom painted to commemorate America’s 250th Anniversary. Painted in the Juniata Locomotive Shop in Altoona, Pennsylvania, the engine is one of six commemorative NS engines. The units will all enter into Norfolk Southern’s freight service. Perhaps you will see one!
