Parade of Steam

“Parade of Steam” was taken in June 2026 at Cass Scenic Railroad State Park in Pocahontas County, West Virginia. Started in 2020, the Parade of Steam is an annual Father’s Day weekend event. Attended by over 3000 people, it features several of Cass’s rare geared locomotives, including (from right to left) the Climax #9, Heisler #6, Shay # 5, Shay #2, and Shay # 6. The Parade of Steam is a bucket list event for many steam fans around the world.
