“Shay #6” was taken in October 2025 at Cass Scenic Railroad State Park in Pocahontas County, West Virginia. The #6 shay locomotive was built for Western Maryland Railroad in 1945 and hauled coal until 1950. It was the last shay built by the Lima Locomotive Works in Ohio and the 2nd largest of the 2767 shays, weighing in at 269,960 lbs and a length of 60 ft. After retiring, it was on display at the B&O Museum in Baltimore before being traded to Cass Scenic Railroad in 1980, pulling (or pushing) passengers on excursions ever since.
