“Queen of Steam” was taken in October 2025 in Swoope, Virginia. The Norfolk and Western 611 steam engine, known as the Queen of Steam, is pulling passengers on an excursion from Goshen to Staunton, Virginia. The engine was built in 1950 and is the only surviving J Class locomotive. It is 16 ft high and 109 ft long with a typical operating speed of 85 mph (fastest recorded speed of 115 mph). It was restored in 2015 and now resides at the Virginia Museum of Transportation.
