“Jordan Pond Bridge” was taken in August 2018 in Acadia National Park in Maine. This beautiful bridge is at the south end of Jordan Pond. It was built in 1920 and leads to one of many carriage roads in Acadia. These 45 miles of stone roads are a hidden infrastructure within the park. The roads and bridges were financed by John D. Rockefeller, who wanted to travel the island by horseback and carriage. Motorized vehicles are still prohibited.
