“Halfway” was photographed in October 2022 in Michaux State Forest in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. This marker is at the halfway point of the Appalachian Trail which runs 2181 miles from Maine to Georgia. This is located just a few miles west of Pine Grove Furnace State Park, where many hikers celebrate by eating a half gallon of ice cream in one sitting.
